Intranets keep CUs connected and organized.

connected dotsAssiniboine Credit Union’s old intranet was a stopgap that was only meant to last a year. The time had come to replace it.

“Our previous intranet was built in the time of a merger,” says CUES member Duane Nicol, formerly the manager of marketing and communication at the $3.6 billion credit union, with 110,000 members and 522 employees, headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba. “We had three large credit unions in Manitoba coming together. We needed to get something out quickly, so we used the same content management software as our external site and just built something from that. Five years later we decided, ‘Oh, maybe we should get back to that intranet project.’”
