Community Involvement: $747 million/30,000-member San Francisco Federal Credit Union, San Francisco, raised more than $2,200 in support of the eighth annual Bowl-A-Strike for Seniors event held by Little Brothers—Friends of the Elderly, San Francisco.
$172 million/30,000-member Pelican State Credit Union, Baton Rouge, La., has raised more than $1,200 through the sale of jambalaya, candy, stuffed pelican toys and other various activities. The money will be donated to Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research to benefit—what else!—pelicans and other wildlife harmed by oil in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Summit Federal Credit Union, with $628 million assets and 80,000 members, Rochester, N.Y., will present Danielle Downey’s fourth annual Future of Women’s Golf Pro Am today at the Brook Lea Country Club in Rochester.
Recognition: $1 billion/63,000-member Pacific Service Credit Union, Walnut Creek, Calif., was recently honored as a 2010 Top WorkPlace by the Bay Area News Group.
