Cool Web Site: WorkSnug is a tool that connects mobile workers to the nearest and best places to work in the major cities of the world. Use the Web site (still in beta) or the iPhone app to check out hundreds of viable workspaces, reviewed for WiFi, noise levels, power provision, community feel, even the quality of the coffee. The site is focusing on building a global community for mobile workers so users can add and review their favorite work spots, too.

Community Involvement: $747 million/30,000-member San Francisco Federal Credit Union, San Francisco, raised more than $2,200 in support of the eighth annual Bowl-A-Strike for Seniors event held by Little Brothers—Friends of the Elderly, San Francisco.

$172 million/30,000-member Pelican State Credit Union, Baton Rouge, La., has raised more than $1,200 through the sale of jambalaya, candy, stuffed pelican toys and other various activities. The money will be donated to Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research to benefit—what else!—pelicans and other wildlife harmed by oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Summit Federal Credit Union, with $628 million assets and 80,000 members, Rochester, N.Y., will present Danielle Downey’s fourth annual Future of Women’s Golf Pro Am today at the Brook Lea Country Club in Rochester.

Recognition: $1 billion/63,000-member Pacific Service Credit Union, Walnut Creek, Calif., was recently honored as a 2010 Top WorkPlace by the Bay Area News Group.
