Retirement: Valerie C. Brown, president/CEO of Service One Credit Union, Bowling Green, Ky., has retired after 34 years of service.

Appointed: Trust for Credit Unions has appointed Jim Regan, president/CEO of Digital Federal Credit Union, Marlborough, Mass, as a trustee of the funds, effective Jan. 1, 2013. He has been an active participant in CUFSLP, the administrator of Trust for Credit Unions, for more than 10 years. CUFSLP is a CUSO composed of 36 leading credit unions.

Honored: Advancial Federal Credit Union, Dallas, has received the Integrity Award from the Better Business Bureau of Acadiana for 2012. The Integrity Award is earned by a business that has gained the respect of the community through programs that promote ethical business practices and principles. The CU has two CUES members.

Merger: Air Force Federal Credit Union (with 10 CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership), San Antonio, and Peoples Choice of San Antonio Federal Credit Union merged, on Dec. 15.

Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union (with eight CUES members as part of its CUES Advancing Management Group Membership) has merged in AgFirst Federal Credit Union, both of Columbia, S.C.

Fulton County Federal Credit Union (with one CUES member) has merged in Niagara Mohawk Power Mohawk Division Federal Credit Union, Gloversville, N.Y. 

Garden Savings Federal Credit Union (with five CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership), Parsippany, N.J., and Morristown Federal Credit Union (with one CUES member), Morristown, N.J., merged, effective Jan. 1.

Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union (with 10 CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership), Pensacola, Fla., has merged in SCORE Federal Credit Union of Tallahassee.

Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union (with one CUES member), Baxter, Minn., merged in Ashby Federal Credit Union, Ashby, Minn.
