Retirement: Anthony Cali, president/CEO of IC Federal Credit Union, Fitchburg, Mass., announced he is retiring on April 30.
John Milazzo Jr., president/CEO of Campus Federal Credit Union, Baton Rouge, La., will retire at year-end and will be succeeded by Dawn Harris, chief operating officer.
Honored: Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, East Lansing, Mich., was recently recognized as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the Michigan Business and Professional Association. The CU has 11 CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership.
Merger: SIU Credit Union, Carbondale, Ill., has merged with Southeastern Electric Employees Credit Union, Harrisburg, Ill., as of April 1. SIU CU has nine CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership.
Municipal Employees Credit Union of Baltimore, Inc. and Advance Bank, both headquartered in Baltimore, announced they have signed a definitive purchase and assumption agreement under which MECU will acquire substantially all the assets and assume substantially all the liabilities of Advance. The CU has 12 CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership.
Community Involvement: Through bake sales, branch contests and shamrock sales, eCO Credit Union, Birmingham, Ala., was able to donate more than $7,770 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The CU has 14 CUES members as part of its CUES Advancing Management Group Membership.
TruMark Financial® Credit Union, Trevose, Pa., raised $1,000 by relaxing its dress code and allowing employees to wear jeans on March 15 and 29, in support of the Buck Up Bucks County Campaign. Donations will be used to renovate the kitchen at the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter. The shelter, which serves three meals a day, 365 days a year to about 80 residents, is in desperate need of renovation. The CU has one CUES member.
US Federal Credit Union, Burnsville, Minn., employees raised more than $4,410 in cash and food donations totaling 868 pounds, during the 2013 Minnesota FoodShare Campaign in March. The CU has two CUES members.
CUES Supplier Member News: The Members Group, Des Moines, Iowa, has promoted three of its senior-level staff members. Georgann Smith has moved from director/marketing and communications to VP/marketing. Darron Dunn is now VP/client services. And Karen Postma has been promoted to director/client services.
