Merger: Newspaper Employees Credit Union, Kearns, Utah, is merging into American United Federal Credit Union, Salt Lake City, which has three CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership.
Security One Federal Credit Union, Arlington, Texas, and Texas Trust Credit Union, Mansfield, Texas, have announced their intent to merge, pending regulatory and member approval. Texas Trust CU has 13 CUES members as part of its CUES Advancing Management Group Membership.
Community Involvement: A team of Altura Credit Union, Riverside, Calif., employees, along with friends and families, recently climbed Mt. Rubidoux in Riverside as part of a national event called “Climb to Cure Duchenne.” The 48 members of “Team Altura: Carter’s Climbers” raised just over $3,000 to fight Duchenne, a rare and lethal form of muscular dystrophy. The CU has nine CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership.
North Peace Savings and Credit Union, Fort St. John, British Columbia, has donated $5,000 to the Fort St. John Public Library’s Summer Reading Program. This program provides free literacy based activities coupled with reading incentives, and is a fun and easy way to help children maintain their reading levels over summer. The CU has six CUES members as part of its CUES Executive Group Membership.
San Diego County Credit Union was a corporate sponsor of the San Diego Pride Festival, July 13-14 in San Diego’s Balboa Park area. The festival has become a premier event in California for the LGBT community and a cornerstone for the annual San Diego Pride Weekend. The CU has three CUES members.
CUES Supplier Member News: Ashley Ganahl has joined your marketing co., Greenville, S.C., as a graphic designer. A graduate of Anderson University, Ganahl was most recently a marketing intern with the Orlando Magic NBA team.
