About the presenters:
Quintin Sykes, Managing Director of Cornerstone's Technology Services division, has 20 years of operations and technology experience in financial services companies.

Prior to joining Cornerstone, Sykes was executive vice president and chief information officer of The South Financial Group. His corporate-wide responsibilities included software acquisition, development and support, technology project management, technology relationship management, technology strategic planning, network and data center operations, PC/LAN/WAN/help desk operations, and management of the Internet delivery channel. Also while with The South Financial Group, Sykes served as director of strategic initiatives, director of item processing and manager of technology ventures.

Before rejoining The South Financial Group, Sykes was a principal consultant in the Financial Services Industry Practice of Price Waterhouse, LLP. In this capacity, Sykes managed information technology implementation and merger integration efforts for clients in the commercial banking and investment banking sectors.

Prior to joining Price Waterhouse LLP, Sykes was responsible for acquisition-related conversion activities and item processing system support for Carolina First Bank, predecessor to The South Financial Group.

Sykes holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is active in organizations including Columbia Chamber of Commerce Information Technology Council and EngenuitySC, a group dedicated to increasing technology-based employment in the Columbia, SC region.

Tripp Johnson brings to Cornerstone Advisors an extensive background in retail banking systems development and administration, as well as a hands-on, leading edge understanding of technology and eBusiness/eCommerce trends within the financial sector. Johnson’s broad experience includes strategic business and technology planning centered around retail banking integration and multi-channel integration, along with customer relationship management initiatives.

Prior to joining Cornerstone, Johnson held the position of chief technology officer, Retail Markets & Products Technology for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). He served as vice president, eBusiness Technology, eBusiness Group for RBC Royal Bank. Before joining RBC, Johnson served as senior vice president, Electronic Commerce Group, for Crestar Financial Corporation (now SunTrust Bank), one of the leading financial institutions in customer-focused, online banking services. Johnson was also the manager of new technologies for First Tennessee Bank in Memphis, Tenn.

Johnson shares his specialized expertise as a regular contributing author on GonzoBanker and CUES Tech Port and as a speaker at industry conferences. He has been published in Credit Union Management™ and quoted in numerous publications, including American Banker and Credit Union Times.

Johnson holds an Master of Art in English, as well as an undergraduate degree in English and political science from the University of Mississippi, Oxford, Mississippi.
