Royal Credit Union is seeking an experienced professional to serve on our team as an Accountant III. This position is a key role that helps support the organization and will provide ample growth and development opportunities for the individual selected. This position will have a base wage that aligns with the candidate’s experience and geographic work location and may range between $60,000 - $70,000 annually along with an annual corporate bonus opportunity. Candidates with significant related experience may be offered a higher starting pay.
Royal’s Accountant III will reconcile various credit union accounts to the general ledger, manage fixed assets and prepaid expenses, work on accounting projects and corporate projects as a subject matter expert. Responsible for tax reporting and various government reporting. Perform accounting duties and reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and state and federal regulations. Provide backup coverage for Accounting department team members including, but not limited to, corporate payroll processing, accounts payable, investor loan remitting and reporting, and additional coverage tasks.
Full-time working Monday – Friday between 8:30 AM – 5 PM with additional hours as needed.
***Prior to starting normal schedule, candidate must attend full time training from 9:00am - 4:30pm Monday – Thursday for 1 week at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI. Lodging, Meals and Mileage provided during this required training.
The office location for this position is flexible based on candidate preference and availability. The individual selected may also work remotely work if certain criteria are met and after the initial onboarding period. Candidates must reside in either Wisconsin or Minnesota to qualify to work remotely.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
Experience working in Finance/Accounting.
Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.
Bachelor's of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
Experience working in a financial institution.
Payroll processing experience.
