Position Description

The primary role of the Financial Services Representative is to provide superior member service, interact with members, respond to inquiries about products and services, and handle and resolve complaints. The FSR works the sales/service desk as well as performs teller functions.

Responsibilities include promoting credit union products and services, recording member interactions and transactions, receiving and/or disbursing of funds, opening accounts, accepting loan applications, processing loan disbursal's and deposits to share's, share draft's (checking), and other savings accounts. Additionally, the FSR is responsible for processing loan payments and transfers between accounts, and handling disputes from members regarding transactions on their accounts. This position complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Maintenance of confidentiality of current, past, and potential members and their personal and financial information is a must.


  • High school diploma or GED; plus one-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate one-on-one with members.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Knowledge of principles and practices for providing exceptional customer service
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays
