Hybrid Work Strategy: Navigating the Challenges and Opportunities of a New Work Model
Brad Bell, Professor of Strategic Human Resources and Director of the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies in the ILR School at Cornell University
Hybrid work models in business today represent a significant shift in how work gets done. It is exciting to the growth of these different designs and the benefits that increased flexibility can deliver to both workers and their organizations. At the same time, despite their many benefits, hybrid work models present some unique challenges that need to be overcome in order to achieve success. In this session, you will learn strategies for navigating these new work models, including adjusting leadership and management approaches, managing group culture and productivity, and establishing consistent and deliberate communication and collaboration norms. Equipped with these strategies, you will be better positioned to successfully implement, manage, and sustain hybrid work in your organization.

How Psychological Safety Can Bridge the Generational Gap in the Workplace
LaToya Pryce, Culture and Inclusion Officer for Visions Federal Credit Union
Our workplace and workforce are rapidly changing and with any change comes challenges. Different generations in the workplace have benefited organizations but has also created generational divides. The challenges with different generations are less about physical age and technical ability and more about the personal values associated or assumed with each generation. Creating a culture that recognizes and supports generational values through programs, policies, and practices requires leaders to focus on psychological safety being the strategic bridge to the generation gap.

What is your Stress Personality
Lauren Hodges, Co-Founder of Performance on Purpose, LLC, and founder of Lauren Hodges, LLC
We all have a “stress personality” which stems from well-worn patterns of thought and emotion carved over years and years of memories, experiences, modeling, and genetics. Advancements in neuroscience over the past two decades have brought us to a place where we understand more about this than ever before. What is your stress personality? How does it impact your mental health? And why does it matter when it comes to leading others, being a part of a team, or managing stress and avoiding burnout? If high demand is a part of your team’s daily lives, and mental well-being is considered a business-critical value for your organization, then you don’t want to miss this one.
You’ll walk away with:
- A deeper understanding of the brain science behind stress and stress patterns and its application in your everyday work and home life.
- A light-hearted, fun exploration of various “stress personalities” and how they show up in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
- The impact of stress personalities on performance, leadership ability, team dynamics, and mental health.
- A solution to better managing stress through awareness of these patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior.

The Gender Wage Gap & Bias - what do we know and what can we do?
Beth Livingston, Ralph L. Sheets Associate Professor of Industrial Relations at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business, Internal Advisor with the Healthier Workforce Center of the Midwest, a NIOSH Center of Excellence, and the Faculty Director of the Dore-Tippie Women's Leadership program
The size and existence of the gender wage gap (GWG) is the subject of regular features in media, particularly during women’s history month, and remains a contentious issue both within and outside of organizations. It can be difficult to ascertain just how much gendered bias still exists in today’s organizations—and what companies and managers can do about it. In this session, you will learn how the gender wage gap is measured and conceptualized, and the ways in which gendered bias in other types of rewards and compensation persist in organizations. You will then learn how organizational members can work together as allies to counteract these forces. Using this knowledge as a foundation, you will be ready to make equitable decisions around pay and performance in your organization.
