Assistant Branch Manager

We are currently accepting applications for an Assistant Branch Manager at our San Jose-Cambrian Branch.
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, your major responsibilities will include:
- Using the credit union’s sales and service models, managing, coaching, leading and motivating staff to sell products and services to meet members’ financial needs. Achieving assigned branch office goals that will include, but not be limited to, sales; revenue, account and membership growth; loan growth; member service; and services per household.
- Managing necessary discipline of assigned employees. Participating in hiring new employees and recommends promotions/transfers and salary adjustments to direct Manager in competing and delivering performance evaluations on schedule
- Help managing the branch operations and transaction to ensure operational security, internal control, and compliance with policies and procedures. Ensuring branch employees adhere to credit union standards for transaction accuracy and professional conduct
- Maintaining branch operations and member service delivery that focuses on “being easy to do business with”. Together with the Branch Manager, leading efforts in improving and managing the delivery of WOW member service quality that will result in unsolicited referrals from members.
- Coaching staff on sales and service model; train staff on policies, procedures, products and services. Participating in the new hire training process
- Providing oversight to staff transactions, including but not limited to teller transactions, new account openings, and the processing, underwriting and funding of loans.
- Providing coverage to the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence. Providing coverage to other branch locations when Branch Managers are absent.
This position requires registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Individuals in this position must satisfy all of the requirements under the category of Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) and satisfactorily complete and supply all of the required information. Additionally, individuals in this position must satisfy all requirements to become an endorsee of the Credit Union’s State of California’s Credit Insurance Business Entity License. These requirements remain a condition of employment in this position.
Our ideal candidate will possess: two to five years of retail banking experience consisting of branch operations and product sales. Previous supervisory/management experience preferred. Proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills are a must. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and conduct oneself with high level of diplomacy.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $87,000; based on skills and experience.
