Position Description

We are looking for an established leader in the payments space to support EFT, foreign exchange, card services operations as well as fraud and loss prevention activities for a global membership base. We are looking for a process-driven leader with a member-centric approach to operational excellence. A successful candidate will be someone who sees the payments industry as an exciting opportunity to be on the front end of digital innovation. We are looking for someone who sees employee engagement and development as critical to supporting our organization’s mission – serving the lifetime financial needs of our membership by delivering a superior member experience.  This person will have experience with the project management of systems and technology implementations from vision to execution. A top candidate will have a hunger for problem solving, great communication skills at all levels, significant operational subject matter expertise in payments preferably in an international environment, and the ability to innovate, inspire and deliver.

A Day in the Life

The Vice President of Payments will be responsible for the development and implementation of BFSFCU’s corporate payments strategy in accordance with the overall strategic goals. This role will lead, manage, analyze and plan the activities of EFT, foreign exchange and Card Services. The Vice President of Payments will serve as a positive role model to all employees on what living our values truly means and inspire others to collaborate and support each other in everything we do.


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master’s degree or higher with a graduate degree/major in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 8 years of financial services experience required, credit union preferred
  • At least 2 years of international payments experience preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of payments and cards experience is critical
