The Vice President of Operations (VPO) is a vital member of the executive management team and reports to the CEO in the strategic planning and guidance of the credit union. The VPO’s role is to provide leadership and guidance to the credit union staff and to impact the operational success of systems and processes that are used to engage members of the credit union. This will be achieved through effective management, control, and oversight of the credit union’s compliance program, IT functions, and management of CUSO partners that serve critical operational processing.

Responsible for the management and oversight of compliance for the credit union’s operation. This includes, but is not limited to, BSA/AML, new account, and transaction compliance with credit union policies and government regulations, as well as branch and cash audits. Oversee the IT functions, including CUSO relationships that serve as primary parties responsible for processing ACH and Share Draft files, fulfillment and servicing of plastics (debit & credit), and for maintaining access to credit union network and core servicing platforms. Collaborate with CUSO partners and other business units to identify solutions for member needs and operational efficiency, and drive solutions to fruition through effective project management oversight. Maintain credit union facilities conducive to promoting a positive member experience. This includes responsibility for maintaining an effective ATM network to serve member access needs.

Qualified Candidates will have five or more years of experience in deposit operations, compliance, project management, and information technology with a financial institution background, preferably a credit union or bank. At least three years of progressive responsibility and management of employees. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology, or similar field of study.
