The ideal Vice President of Consumer Lending & Member Solutions candidate is a strategic, mission-driven leader with a strong lending and collections background and a passion for community impact. This individual will be responsible for shaping and executing the credit union’s lending strategy, including consumer, indirect, and real estate lending, while overseeing collections and member support operations. Working closely with the Chief Lending Officer, they will align departmental goals with the organization’s mission, ensuring all lending products and services support the needs of underserved communities and advance the credit union’s CDFI objectives.
This role requires a collaborative leader who drives innovation, compliance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams, utilize platforms like nCino and AI tools to improve performance, and establish clear metrics for success across lending and collections. They will also represent the credit union in community engagement efforts and help foster a positive, high-performing culture within the department. Help Us Get to Know You
Please submit your resume or LinkedIn profile, highlighting a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field from an accredited university, with a preferred master’s degree. Candidates must have at least six years of experience across consumer, indirect, and real estate lending, loan services, and collections (member solutions), including a minimum of three years in a senior management role. A successful track record in strategic planning, driving growth, leading high-performing teams, and fostering a positive team culture is essential. Experience with CDFI initiatives and a demonstrated commitment to serving underserved communities is preferred, as is proficiency in Spanish. Strong knowledge of lending and collections regulations, risk management, and industry best practices is required. This role requires eligibility to obtain and maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry, as defined by the SAFE Act, due to responsibilities that include taking applications and negotiating loan terms secured by real property.
The starting salary range is approximately $143,000 - $190,000 annually.
