Gerry Agnes is being inducted into the 2026 CUES Hall of Fame in recognition of his lifetime achievement and significant contributions to the credit union movement following a distinguished 17-year tenure as CEO of Elevations Credit Union, from which he retired in February 2026. Agnes set a new standard for operational excellence and quality in the industry. Under his guidance, Elevations Credit Union achieved historic recognition, becoming the first organization in Colorado history to be a two-time recipient of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, earning the honor in both 2014 and 2020. His profound impact on his organization and the broader industry was further acknowledged when he was named the 2015 CUES Outstanding Chief Executive and the 2016 Mountain West CU Association's Credit Union Professional of the Year. 

Beyond his organizational achievements, Agnes has embodied the Hall of Fame ideals of community service and lifelong self-improvement. His deep involvement in the local business community earned him the 2016 Boulder Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year title. A strong advocate for continuous executive education, he consistently prioritized his professional development, notably earning his CIE designation in 2015. 

A devoted CUES member since 2001, Agnes made extensive contributions to CUES that left a lasting mark on the organization's governance and membership network. He demonstrated his commitment to collaborative learning and peer engagement by attending numerous CUES events throughout the years. He also gave back to the industry through extensive leadership service, serving on the CUES AZ/SoCal Council Board from 2001 to 2009 and later serving on the CUES Board of Directors from 2019 to 2025. His decades of dedication to excellence, community, and the credit union system make him a truly deserving Hall of Fame inductee.
