$530M Assets
Granite City, Illinois
Lead the lending strategy. Build for growth. Make an impact.
Revity Credit Union is seeking an accomplished Chief Lending Officer (CLO) to lead the next chapter of its lending strategy. This is an opportunity for an experienced financial services executive to take an enterprise view of lending—strengthening consumer and mortgage lending, expanding opportunities for responsible growth, and helping Revity continue to evolve as a strong, member-focused credit union.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded lending executive with demonstrated leadership experience in both consumer and mortgage lending and a strong understanding of credit unions or financial institutions. Commercial lending knowledge and experience would be a significant advantage as Revity considers opportunities across its broader lending portfolio.
Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the CLO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for lending strategy, portfolio performance, operational effectiveness, and talent development. This leader will bring the strategic perspective to identify growth opportunities and the operational expertise to turn strategy into results.
What You’ll Lead:
Develop and execute a comprehensive lending strategy that supports growth, profitability, member needs, and Revity's long-term objectives.
Provide strong leadership and direction across consumer and mortgage lending, including origination, underwriting, portfolio management, delivery, and performance.
Identify opportunities to grow and diversify the loan portfolio while maintaining appropriate credit quality and risk discipline.
Bring commercial lending knowledge and perspective to the organization; direct commercial lending experience is a strong plus.
Evaluate lending processes, products, technology, delivery channels, and market opportunities to improve efficiency, competitiveness, and the member experience.
Use data, portfolio analytics, and market intelligence to guide pricing, product strategy, underwriting, growth initiatives, and resource decisions.
Balance growth with sound underwriting, asset quality, regulatory compliance, and appropriate risk management.
Build, develop, and inspire high-performing lending teams while creating clear accountability for results.
Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team across the organization to advance enterprise priorities and contribute beyond the lending function.
Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and evolving trends affecting credit union and financial institution lending.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for an experienced lending executive who understands both the business and the operational realities of lending. The strongest candidates will bring:
Significant senior-level lending leadership experience within a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.
Demonstrated experience leading both consumer and mortgage lending.
Strong knowledge of lending operations, underwriting, portfolio management, pricing, credit quality, and regulatory requirements.
Commercial lending experience or meaningful knowledge of commercial lending is a significant plus.
A track record of responsibly growing and managing lending portfolios.
The ability to assess market opportunities and translate strategy into measurable results.
Strong financial and analytical skills with an understanding of the relationship among growth, yield, credit quality, risk, and profitability.
Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, manage change, and create accountability.
Executive presence and the ability to work collaboratively with the CEO, leadership team, Board, and other key stakeholders.
Approximately 8–10+ years of progressive lending experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred; equivalent senior-level lending experience will be considered.
