Eleni Giakoumopoulos
Eleni has over 25 years of international experience working in 20 countries in western, central and eastern Europe. Her background includes managing European Union cross-border cooperation programs through consultancy work, membership recruitment for a national trade association, and content development for print and digital media and directing career services at the American College of Thessaloniki, an educational organization in Northern Greece. Prior to joining World Council as the Corporate Communications Manager in 2017, she was part of the board communications team at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, an international finance institution, working with ministries of finance and foreign affairs, supporting economic development and regional cooperation in the Black Sea region.
In her role with GWLN since 2018, she is responsible for directing the professional development programming, expanding GWLN Sister Societies, and growing membership in the U.S. and internationally.
She is a member of the International Society of Female Professionals and the International Association of Business Communicators. She volunteers and serves as the president of the local chapter for the Ladies Philoptochos Society, Inc., the philanthropic arm of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
Eleni holds a master’s degree in global marketing from the University of Liverpool and speaks Greek.
Karen Rosales
Karen Rosales
With almost 30 of experience in the financial services industry, Karen has served in various executive roles throughout her career in the credit union industry. In her role as CEO, she has guided the strategic direction, service delivery and operational efficiency of ACFCU to include field of membership expansion, development of mortgage and business services programs, and a focus on innovation and digital strategy. In her previous role as the organization's COO, she navigated the organization through significant change, including cultural transformation, branch expansion, development of a “Remarkable Service” strategy and implementation of a project management culture.
Prior to coming to ACFCU, Karen held positions in Marketing, Retail Delivery and Operations at three Washington, DC area credit unions.
Karen holds a BSBA in International Business and Marketing, from American University's Kogod School of Business. She is resident of Arlington, and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Arlington’s Signature Program. She currently serves on the Board of Regents for the Leadership Center for Excellence and on the Board of Directors for the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization.

As the Chief Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Vizient, Inc., Monica guides overarching strategy, program implementation and ongoing support for the company’s culture and D&I initiatives.
Prior to joining Vizient, Monica served as the Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, responsible for promoting, monitoring and enforcing diversity and equal employment opportunity standards at NCUA. She oversaw the diversity requirements of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act within NCUA’s business practices and among regulated entities.
Monica has more than 27 years of workforce diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, supplier diversity, cultural transformation, EEO, civil rights and alternative dispute resolution experience in the public sector. Prior to joining NCUA, Monica served as executive director of the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Internal Revenue Service. Her previous work included leading the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Management as acting director and serving as senior trial attorney at the Department of Health and Human Services where she litigated cases involving employment discrimination and federal personnel matters.
Monica holds degrees from Howard University School of Law and George Mason University. She currently resides in Washington, DC.
Jill Nowacki
Jill Nowacki
Jill Nowacki started her career with credit unions in 2001. She has taken on leadership roles at credit unions and state and national trade associations, including serving as the President/CEO of the Credit Union League of Connecticut. In 2019, Jill founded Humanidei, a human capital strategies firm that helps credit unions build inclusive cultures that attract, develop, and retain top talent—from the front line through the Board of Directors.
By strategically addressing the value of human capital, credit unions can create environments where people bring their best, authentic selves to work, resulting in diversity in thought, increased innovation, stronger succession planning, and ultimately relevant, growing credit unions that expand the economic capacity of the members and communities they serve.
Throughout her career, Jill has worked with credit union leadership across the country to introduce business and human capital strategies that lead to growth. She is a sought-after speaker and thought leader on the topics of leadership, diversity, and strategic planning.
Jill holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Montana and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Carroll College (Helena, Montana). She is a certified International Credit Union Development Educator, a Certified Association Executive (CAE), and a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE).
