Announcing a great opportunity Vice President of Finance CFO at the Department of Labor Federal Credit Union (DOLFCU) in Washington DC. Come help lead a fantastic credit union and help its new CEO keep moving into new innovative and strategic directions.

The Vice President of Finance (CFO) is a vital member of the executive management team and reports to the CEO in the strategic planning and guidance of the credit union. The CFO’s role is to provide leadership and guidance to the credit union staff, and to impact the financial health of the credit union through oversight of the accounting, finance, investment, and collection functions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the Executive Team and support the strategic priorities of the credit union
Provide leadership in the development, evaluation, and execution of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
Lead and manage the Accounting & Finance staff
Manage and control the Balance Sheet growth and all applicable risks to align with credit union strategies through effective analysis and use of investment tools or options as well as ALM software analysis tools, financial forecasting, budget analysis, and product profitability analysis
Oversee and manage the Participation loan portfolio to achieve Balance Sheet and Income objectives. Ensure liquidity for the credit union is adequate to meet all regulatory requirements as well as achieve credit union growth strategies
Oversee and manage Collections to mitigate risks within the loan portfolio and prevent excessive delinquency within the portfolio
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all credit union financial statements, regulatory reporting; coordination of all financial audits and regulatory examinations
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or Accounting. CPA designation strongly recommended
Eight (8) or more years of related work experience, including management and leadership of other employees or staff
