Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union ($645M; Baltimore, MD) is seeking a Vice President of People and Culture. Established in 1971 by university president Dr. Milton Eisenhower, Johns Hopkins FCU was created with the sole intent and purpose of being a benefit to the faculty and staff at Johns Hopkins University. While initially chartered to serve the faculty and staff, the credit union has grown to serve the entire Johns Hopkins community, including students, alumni, employees, and their families. Today, the Credit Union serves nearly 45,000 members, making it one of the largest credit unions in Maryland.

This is more than a traditional HR leadership role! Reporting to the President/CEO, the VP of People and Culture will be a strategic advisor and thought leadership partner to the executive team, helping to shape and drive the strategic direction of the Credit Union. This role will champion a workplace culture that inspires connection, accountability, innovation, and inclusion, and will serve as a catalyst for high-performing teams throughout the organization.

As part of the senior leadership team, the VP will coach and develop managers and executives on how to engage meaningfully with their teams, ensuring that leaders are fully equipped to inspire, retain, and grow talent. They will lead succession planning and long-term employee development, ensuring Johns Hopkins FCU remains future-ready. With a people-first mindset and a focus on culture as a strategic advantage, the VP will challenge assumptions, promote courageous leadership, and drive initiatives that enable employees to do their best work.

The ideal candidate will combine HR expertise with strategic business acumen, bringing a modern, data-informed approach to workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness. This person should be passionate about cultivating leaders, enabling team performance, and helping a purpose-driven organization reach new levels of impact.
