The Operations Training and Development Specialist enhances the employee learning experience by delivering engaging training, developing clear instructional materials, and supporting employees as they learn systems, processes, and credit union expectations. This role helps ensure employees have the knowledge and confidence to perform successfully and contribute to a consistent, service-focused culture.
What You’ll Do
• Facilitate onboarding sessions and employee training that connect team members to our culture, systems, and operational expectations.
• Develop, refine, and maintain training materials such as guides, slide decks, job aids, and practice activities that reflect current procedures.
• Coordinate training logistics so sessions run smoothly, materials are ready, and communication is clear.
• Partner with subject matter experts to verify accuracy of training content and update materials when systems, procedures, or requirements change.
• Support compliance and operational training by helping maintain updated resources, documentation, and reference materials.
• Assist in identifying knowledge gaps and recommending targeted training solutions.
• Maintain organized training records, rosters, and logs to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Upload and monitor courses in the Learning Management System (LMS) and help employees troubleshoot basic access or navigation questions.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment where employees feel supported and encouraged in their development.
What We’re Looking For
• Two or more years of experience in training, employee development, or a related role.
• Experience with LMS platforms and training-related tools (course creation, video tools, eLearning software such as Articulate or Canva preferred).
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, comfortable leading both in-person and virtual sessions.
• Ability to stay organized, manage details, and keep materials updated and accurate.
• Strong understanding of how to translate procedures and workflows into clear, instructional content.
• Experience in a credit union, bank, or financial institution is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
