Position Description

U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union is a local not-for-profit, very for-people place. We are a place that quietly does the right thing in a world that can't stop talking about doing just that. At U.S. Eagle, you can make a big impact and help us create a world where people matter more than profit. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a member of the Executive Management team and is responsible for shaping and executing U.S. Eagle’s overall financial strategy. The CFO oversees all aspects of finance, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital management, and regulatory compliance. Partnering with the CEO and the Executive Management team, the CFO helps shape credit union strategy, influence key decisions, drive profitability, stimulate growth and ensure long-term financial stability.

The ideal candidate for the Chief Financial Officer at U.S. Eagle would possess the following:

Financial Acumen and Data-Driven Insights

The CFO is a master of financial data and analytics. This requires proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, economics, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and a strong understanding of asset/liability management. The CFO uses this expertise to effectively translate complex data into actionable business decisions, enabling U.S. Eagle to maintain financial stability and support long-term growth.

Strategic Execution and Alignment

The CFO is adept at aligning the U.S. Eagle’s business model with both short- and long-term goals, ensuring operational initiatives and investment strategies directly support strategic objectives. Capital planning, risk management oversight, and guiding the organization toward sustainable profitability are all key elements of the role.

Multidimensional Thinking and Problem Solving

The CFO exhibits creative, critical, and strategic thinking to navigate complex challenges and analyze multiple perspectives simultaneously. Questioning assumptions, identifying root causes of financial or operational issues, and formulating robust solutions that integrate both immediate and long-term considerations are all critical qualities for the CFO to possess.

Decision-Making and Leadership

The ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty while guiding and motivating the organization is fundamental. Acting decisively even with incomplete information, communicating financial insights clearly to stakeholders, and fostering collaboration across departments to link business strategy with execution are all realities that the CFO will navigate.
