Secured Advantage Federal Credit Union is searching for a President/CEO who will champion its mission, inspire its team, and strengthen its commitment to delivering outstanding member experiences. This leader will play a critical role in shaping strategy, enhancing organizational performance, and ensuring the credit union remains responsive to both current and future member needs.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and approachable leader who listens actively, values input from their team, and fosters an environment of trust and shared accountability. This is not a command-and-control leadership role; rather, the Board seeks a leader who empowers others, builds alignment, and develops talent across the organization.

The successful candidate will bring experience leading through change, with a demonstrated ability to assess opportunities, address challenges, and elevate organizational performance. Prior experience growing a credit union, especially with a community development focus, will help create success.

This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, members, and key stakeholders to advance strategic priorities while reinforcing a culture rooted in service, integrity, and continuous improvement. A strong commitment to community engagement and relationship-building is essential, as this leader will serve as a visible ambassador for the credit union throughout the Simpsonville, Greenville, and Spartanburg markets. Familiarity with these communities—or the ability to quickly build meaningful connections within them—will be an advantage.

In addition, the President/CEO will bring a solid understanding of financial institution operations, including regulatory expectations and credit union compliance. While this role does not require a CFO background, the ability to effectively oversee financial performance, risk management, and compliance is critical.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational leadership, or a related field or equivalent experience is required. Annual pay for this role is between $120,000 and $150,000.
