You can understand why a change is necessary and still struggle with it.

In this interactive, movie-themed session, participants will explore why change can quickly trigger uncertainty, frustration and negative assumptions, even when they understand or support the reasons behind it. Using the idea that we are each writing our own story through change, participants will identify what feels hard, reconnect with what still matters about their work and recognize the strengths others can already count on them to bring.

Through reflection, polls, chat and breakout discussion, participants will build their own “plot” for navigating change and make a simple, intentional choice about how they want to show up through a change they may not have chosen.

Key Takeaways:

  • Recognize why change can feel difficult even when it makes sense, helping them better understand and manage their initial reactions.
  • Reconnect with what still matters and identify strengths they can rely on, building confidence that they are not starting from zero when things change.
  • Make an intentional choice about how they want to show up through change by connecting what matters to them with what others can already count on them to bring.
