Day to day, it’s easy to focus on the parts of life that leave us unsatisfied that we wish were better. What if there was a strategy to increase our optimism, even during tough times? Would you like to try it?

Data tells us that your brain at positive works significantly better than it does at negative, neutral or stressed. Your intelligence, creativity and energy levels RISE, and you spread positivity to those around you. However, when faced with challenging circumstances, negativity, stress and anxiety, how can you cultivate optimism without 'toxic positivity'? Research tells us there are some simple, quick strategies to help us do so. As our optimism increases, so does our unshakable mindset. We become resilient to navigate our challenges with more ease and positivity. Problems feel more workable. In this experiential presentation Trish will share simple techniques to create a more optimistic mental state.

Key Takeaways:

  • Cultivate self-compassion: We live in an ever-changing, uncertain world with a brain hard-wired to spin negative. Learn to lean into self-compassion when you find yourself spinning out into negativity.
  • Strengthen resilience to negativity and worry: Learn a simple, no cost strategy that reduces our brain’s tendency to detect threat and worry in even minor situations.
  • Learn to savor the good: Experience a guided technique that can create a positivity bias in our brain and help us appreciate the good.
  • Let go of toxic positivity: Learn how to recognize AND avoid it.
