Amy Downs is a survivor of the bombing that devastated the building housing her credit union, an event that resulted in the loss of 168 lives, including 18 of her 33 colleagues. Today, she serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of that same institution, Allegiance Credit Union, which, under her leadership, has experienced a 400% growth and continues to prosper. Drawing upon the insights shared in her book, Hope Is a Verb, Amy offers a compelling perspective on crisis leadership. She provides practical guidance on how organizations can navigate adversity and emerge from it not only resilient, but fundamentally stronger than before.

Amy Downs is a survivor of the bombing that devastated the building housing her credit union, an event that resulted in the loss of 168 lives, including 18 of her 33 colleagues. Today, she serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of that same institution, Allegiance Credit Union, which, under her leadership, has experienced a 400% growth and continues to prosper. Drawing upon the insights shared in her book, Hope Is a Verb, Amy offers a compelling perspective on crisis leadership. She provides practical guidance on how organizations can navigate adversity and emerge from it not only resilient, but fundamentally stronger than before.
